October 2011 Covers of the Month: ROGUE, PREVIEW & MEGA

I told my partner, George Palmiano, that October is going to be, not just my birth month, but "my month" and the beginning of the most fabulous quarter of the year for me. In that regard, let's see how fab the magazine covers have gone this month, and which publications look the most intriguing. Fight!

1st Honor: Anne Curtis for ROGUE MAGAZINE
Rogue can't seem to get hang loose on the gorgeous Anne Curtis-Smith as it served hot 3 wonderfully-photographed cover renditions for all you sexy-creature-starved readers. Shot entirely in the captivating city of Paris, my favorite cover (hands down) is the one showing Anne in a backless white number while carrrying a cigarette amidst the romantic cityscape. This is a very sizzling photo that it became so controversial lately, with the health department complaining about the negative image that the visual display of cigarette may induce to readers young or old. This assumption I cannot understand. Conservative thinking, as they call it?! Hello, in this age and times, it is how the mind interpret things as insulting or vulgar! Why don't they just focus on helping flood-stricken Filipinos instead on picking on an artistic, fashionable photo?!

2nd Honor: Young Celebrities for PREVIEW MAGAZINE
Just yesterday, I blogged about Jasmine Curtis-Smith (but I apologize to you readers, I have to put it down for some reasons). Like her ate Anne as featured above, this new IT girl and Love,Bayo's style sister burns the front end with a rocking cover for the latest offering of Preview Magazine. Jasmine shares the spotlight with other bright, young stars: Danita Paner, Kylie Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Sam Pinto, Julia Montes and Lauren Young, all dressed and poised in Louis Vuitton's Fall-Winter 2011 collection for the magazine's collective first cover. This is a two-cover special that you shouldn't miss from Preview.

3rd Honor: Paris Hilton for MEGA Magazine
This October, Mega Magazine ups the competition while lending international flavor with world-renowned socialite/celebrity/fashionista/heiress Paris Hilton looking very doll-like on its cover. Paris was in Manila recently to embark on a pioneering project with Century Properties, Inc./Century Properties Real Estate. Read about it and be sure to grab a copy!
