SAIL AWAY: Milanos S/S 2012 Ad Campaign

After writing about PARISIAN's sizzling summer ad campaign, it's time to give the spotlight to MILANOS as we all look forward to stepping up to a luxe vacation this coming Holy Week.

While most of us are setting up our wardrobe choices that will have us looking great underneath the summer sun, MILANOS, the in-house footwear brand of SM Department Store targetted for young male professionals, presents a collection of cool casual shoes that come with classic sporty-leisure vibe.

According to MILANOS, boat shoes are so hot this season. Wear it when you feel a little sporty or want to brave the heat with shorts. You can also wear with with jeans or chinos and with any kind of casual shirt. It is best to wear it sans socks, but if you must, get those really low foot socks that doesn't show.

On the other hand, also check out these cool espadrilles from MILANOS. Perfect footwear that will have you sailing away:

Once again, Geo and I (Team MGP) would like to thank the LTBG Group of SM Department Store for this fun shoot done in Subic Yacht Club. Nothing can be as luxurious as shooting while cruising on a yacht, and even sailing on a regatta. Love the whole creative team! Here are some behind-the-scene tidbits, and see how we all enjoyed while bonding at the same time doing hard work:

TYRA BANKS WEARS PINOY DESIGN

America's Next Top Model host/producer and supermodel TYRA BANKS must be sooo loving Pinoy fashion creativity. After the creations of international Pinoy designers Michael Cinco and Oliver Tolentino making a splash in recent ANTM cycles, the spotlights are on FRANCIS LIBIRAN this time, as Tyra wore his gown at the Endometriosis Foundation Of America's 4th Annual Blossom Ball at The New York Public Library in New York City, NY on March 15, 2012.

According to news, Tyra made it to the best-dressed list while wearing a gorgeous strapless dress with geometric lines and sheer skirt by Libiran. The good-looking Pinoy designer initially gave the dress as a gift to Tyra, who eventually must loved it and wore it to the said event.

Isn't it exciting to see different Hollywood celebrities wearing more and more Filipino fashion designs lately (to the likes of Monique Lhuillier, Furne One, Michael Cinco and Oliver Tolentino)? Kudos to Francis Libiran (whose retail line is available at Myth, Greenbelt)!

SKY'S THE LIMIT: Parisian S/S 2012 Ad Campaign

Nope, they are not angels in flight, but are beautiful, blonde models with heavenly form sashaying against a backdrop of majestic, truly breathtaking, teal skies. And yes, they are wearing the hottest shoe and bag styles from SM Department Store's iconic footwear brand, PARISIAN.

SKY HIGH. Parisian steps up, and is bursting with fresh summer colors.

This summer, PARISIAN is keener on going globally-synched in terms of look with a fashionably refreshing ad campaign that features different collections of shoes and bags that take you to the brighter, cheerier side of the season.

In a country with mostly temperate climate, it's a given that men will die crazy for long, spotless, sexy legs – especially if girls will wear a pair of gorgeous shoes that make the lower appendages look almost kilometric. PARISIAN's collection of eye-candy heels, flats and wedges – in several styles and fruity colors to choose from – will have you stepping up your way to heaven, I mean to your ultimate summer destination. Add a carryall bag or sling on a satchel, choose an outfit that reveals your legs, and walk as if the wind is blowing on your hair – yes girls, you’ll be on every cute guy’s radar!

Shot entirely at Meteora in Tagaytay, as promised in my previous blog entry, here's the ad campaign that my partner stylist George Palmiano and I (team MGP) are extremely proud of:

Please also watch this wonderfully-done, uber cute short fashion film by PARISIAN, one of the videos in the series, that catches the fun, fashionable and colorful vibe of summer 2012. Would you blame us if the whole creative team are feeling so thrilled of this ad campaign?

Thank you, for the nth time, PARISIAN, for another memorable experience. Geo and I are more than exhilirated, not to mention humbled. Thanks also to the whole creative team (you know who you are). Allow me to share this behind-the-scene tidbits done by Adfolio Advertising and see for yourselves the hardwork we poured in while enjoying the entire shoot and scenery at Tagaytay, and how fabulous this team was:

KC vs. PIOLO: The Battle of the Vintage Car Billboard Ads

The KC CCONCEPCION - PIOLO PASCUAL issue has not ended yet, at least in my opinion.

Let's admit, we Pinoys love revelling on showbiz drama and controversies. Although I refuse to play a devil's advocate, we sometimes imagine how ex-lovers would face-off soon after parting ways. With the release of BAYO (for KC) and BENCH (for Piolo) summer ads for 2012, we would notice that there is a common denominator - both brands made similar use of vintage cars as props or background. So, to spark a little dose of intrigue, who do we think did the concept more superior, who outshone who, who between KC and Piolo rocked the vintage car better? As they say, let the battle of the ex's begin!

PARTING TIME. It's KC vs. Piolo in a battle of the vintage car ad campaigns!

Here's KC Concepcion looking so stylishly 50's retro for BAYO while looking dramatic on a top-down vintage car:

On the other side of the battle ring, Piolo Pascual does his best shot in a Havana-inspired summer pictorial for BENCH:

After seeing everything, shall I declare the winner? Your choice maybe as good as mine...

WET DREAMS: Freeway S/S 2012 Ad Campaign

As all of us expect the temperature to rise even more with summertime already here, FREEWAY makes a splash - literally - in a rousing sexy fashion with the release of their Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign.

This time, FREEWAY gets wet, and brings another innovative collaboration with swimwear designer TWINKLE FERRAREN featuring The Hand Woven Swimsuit Collection. As Ferraren’s 3rd collaboration with the brand, she gushes, “This is a fusion of different visions, aesthetics and styles. It’s always nice working with Freeway because I get to express other emotions and styles aside from just my own.”

“I describe this collection as "feminine in action”, says the designer. The collection features handwoven braids, weave designs and appliqué in sporty, active silhouettes with a hint of feminine details.  Ferraren's inspiration for this collection is her amazement with the great talent of our local weavers, the very intricate patterns and the passion that comes with it.  With a keen understanding of what women want, the collection does not sacrifice style and feminity no matter how active or sporty their lifestyle gets. “More and more women are now getting into sports, being active and keeping healthy thru dance, sports and water activities.  It’s great to see some feminine details in what we wear most especially in swimwear”, Ferraren shared.

To complement the sporty chic swimwear collection by Twinkle Ferraren, FREEWAY showcases wide array of beautiful cover-ups, hyperbright summer dresses, flirty tops and flattering bottoms to make you stand-out this summer season.

Visit www.freeway.net.ph to view the entire collection. Connect with Freeway thru Facebook facebook.com/FreewayOnline and Twitter twitter.com/FreewayOnline.
